Mission Trip

I'm starting to get excited about the mission trip that nearly 20 of us from the church will be taking in June. We will be heading to New Orleans to do some... ... I guess, rebuilding/construction. For myself I'm not always as concerned about the tangible projects that we do because I know that beyond putting things back together what will make the deepest impact on me will be the relationships that are formed with those that we are ministering to.

With every mission trip I've ever been on what mattered most was the friendships that were developed and the love of Christ that was shared. I come away impacted by the people that we get to minister to, the challenges that I face, and any of my personal fears that I meet with faith. I think I will start praying now for some "God things" to occur while we step out on this adventure in June.

  1. I too am very much looking forward to the mission trip to Louisiana this June! Hopefully I'll learn more about others from FFC while developing new friendships, help others through ministering and be blessed by the experience. I believe that this will be a spiritually fulfilling quest, especially if I "let go and let God" have his way with my life and this mission. I have many fears about going on this trip, but I believe that God planned this event for me to help me grow in my faith and to share my beliefs and salvation with others.
