"Randolph County, The Funshine Coast"

Well, ever since Amy Chamberlin's comment on this post; I have been following a thread that has led me to more information than I ever needed to know regarding "Randolph County, The Funshine Coast".

A Google search turns up this site.

Knowing the right people gets you the inside scoop. So here is the scoop - turns out June Potter a former county auditor came up with the tag line "Funshine Coast". This tag line and June's picture can be found in an old visitor's guide featuring several counties along Indiana's eastern "coast".

Randolph County's new tag line is... drum roll please... "Take the Back Roads to the Sweet Life". A little side note, if you take a few of the back roads you could wind up in Pinch or even Lick Skillet. In case you were interested in visiting our "coast" this summer here is the website for Randolph County's Visitor's Bureau.

In honor of our former tag line, Shelby and I made a logo out on our driveway...
