Shelby had her first official day of home school today. So to celebrate I brought home a couple of balloons and Tammy baked an extra large heart shaped cookie. You know the homeschooling is off to a good start when on her first day she can read the balloon that says, "Congratulations".

Yes the cookie was good - no I didn't eat it all.
You know what crossed my mind today? I thought, "I have 12 more years, or less, to save for college." Can you imagine how much college will cost in 12 years? Yikes. Would anyone like to buy half of an extra large chocolate chip cookie for $500? Fortunately, I have a nice little 529 set up with an excellent mutual fund. Maybe I should start planning ahead and start another fund for a wedding... I've got more time to save for the wedding because I'm not letting her marry until she is 35.
so glad Shelby had a good first day. sounds like kindergarten will only take her about a month. :)

ReplyDeleteWish I had some of that cookie right about now!!
You should start a fund for the wedding! I wish my parental units had a fund for me :0)
