Happy Columbus Day... Again

What would Columbus Day be without an update from our annual Sorensen Columbus Day festivities? Last year I shared the details of this very moving and emotional national holiday? I thought I would update those new to changeisgood4u.com of our little tradition...

"Happy Columbus Day!!! I wait all year for this very special holiday and it has finally arrived. I don't know how you celebrate it in your home, but in our home I dress up as Christopher Columbus, fill the bathtub full of water – jump in and “sail” to the “new country” where I am greeted by my 2 "Indianprincesses". We then exchange gifts: I give them a necklace made of dandelion weeds in exchange for 30 pounds of gold. The festivities are concluded with the 3 of us singing a rousing chorus of “Oh Columbus Day” around a big spread of turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish, and a Dairy Queen ice cream cake.

Happy Columbus Day! If you will excuse me, I’
ve got to get changed into my outfit."
