Well it is official - Lord willing, I will be heading out on our Jamaica mission trip August 9-16. I wasn't originally planning on going on this trip but we had an individual drop out which provided me the opportunity to go. This will be my second mission trip to Jamaica and I will be leading another trip on January 17-24, 2009. By the time January gets here I will be a pro at this.
I'm very excited to be going on this mission trip for several reasons: 1. I'm looking forward to showing Christ's love to some folks in need. 2. I haven't been away on a trip since last February. 3. I'm looking forward to the exercise (we will be building a small home). My health continues to improve and it is a blessing to be able to do anything physical.
I would encourage you to begin praying about whether or not you should join us on our mission trip in January. If you are an FFCer there will be a short meeting regarding the trip in January following this Sunday's service.
