This was my second mission trip to Jamaica, the first being in 2006. I will be leading another team there this January and am anxious for that mission trip as well (we may have triple the number of people going on the trip in January). So many people, when they hear "Jamaica" think of resorts and beaches etc. and don't realize that there is extreme poverty and deep spiritual needs.
The thing that I took away from this trip was living vicariously through the other team members and reliving the emotions and feelings I experienced on my first overseas mission trip to Jamaica. I loved watching God move on the hearts of my fellow team members. Each one experienced something a little different and it was amazing to see the Holy Spirit move in their lives. It was well worth the trip to see the growth in them.
Sounds like you guys had an awesome time! Just wanted to run this by you. check out this site, it is for Charles and Judy Dillon's from New Orleans's, they are having an 8 man scramble, and it would benefit the cresent city church, to help get materials, food, helpers....I thought possibly me, you, Jack Frost and Aaron Black???? Just a sugestion.
I looked over the link you sent for the golf scramble; it looks like fun. I have a wedding to perform on that date so I will be unable to attend. I think you guys would really enjoy yourselves and it would be a great help to Charles!
Ok, well have fun stay away from the funny smellin' punch! I hear it makes guy's actually get up and dance and it makes you think that you are really good at it.
