Missionary Marggy

This was one of those weeks where I didn't get much of what I wanted to accomplish done at all. It seemed that there were a billion little things to attend to this week. It didn't help any that I didn't have the sermon completely done until today either. It also didn't help that our Pastor of Administration, Marggy Hensley, has been out of the office this week. Since Marggy came on staff she has picked up the oodles and oodles of details at the church, allowing me to give more time and attention to study and sermon prep. 

Marggy is out of the office for a very good reason this week. She traveled back to Jamaica to spend some time in prayer and discernment about whether or not God is calling her to be a missionary with Christian Service International. You can read about it in her own words on her blog. There is part of me that is very excited for her potential call into active missions, and then there is the part of me (especially considering the week I've had) that would love for her to stay and perform her administrative magic at FFC. Marggy is a huge blessing to me and to our church, but more importantly I know she has been called to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God. Whether she is at FFC or with CSI on the mission field I know God will continue to be pleased with her heart to serve Him.
