Tuesday Is For Randomness

Some random thoughts on this Tuesday evening:

I am so glad to have Tammy and Shelby back home. Two weeks apart was plenty. The beauty of the two weeks apart though was the fact that both of us were in our preferred element: I love the warmth of the Caribbean and Tammy prefers the cold arctic blast of Northern Iowa

I'm looking forward to our next sermon series at FFC. I'm calling it "Carpe Diem" and we will be talking about making the most out of the lives that God has given us. I'm praying that this series will stir us out of any complacency we may have found ourselves in.

Our mission team saw Vana White at the Jamaica airport, some of them got photos and autographs. I left her alone - because that's what I would have wanted from me (golden rule).

I had over 200 blog posts in Google Reader to catch up on when I returned from our mission trip. I still have 100 posts to read. Yikes!

Sunday's services blew me away. Both the 9AM & 10:45AM service were filled with the Lord's presence.

Pastor Pink and I will be traveling with CSI to Ireland March 13-21. We will be scouting out mission work for our youth to be involved with in 2010. My brother-in-law Ronn Oren will be on this trip as well. I'm really looking forward to going on this mission trip; interestingly, we will be in Ireland during St. Patrick's day.

If you are interested in joining our team in Jamaica we will be traveling January 9-16th of 2010. I challenged our church to send 20 people on this next trip.

I bet you'd like to see some pictures from Jamaica... here's one...

  1. Had I mentioned my wife is from the wonderful island of Ireland? Oh how I love that country.

If you've not been, going to visit Downpatrick, where St Patrick's grave is located, is very cool (it's in Northern Ireland btw, the best part...in my no way at all biased opinion)

  2. David,

I didn't know your wife was from Ireland. I may need to shoot you an email to get the inside scoop about where to go while we are there. :) Thanks for the info about Downpatrick.
