Our church family was hit hard again this weekend; Glen Cox, died tragically in a car accident Friday morning. Not that long ago Glen turned his life over to Christ and was really growing in the Lord. About a year and a half ago Glen went on a short-term mission trip with several of us from the church down to Mississippi to rebuild homes after the hurricane. Every one of us on that mission trip got to know what a great guy Glen was and saw how powerfully he was going to impact the Kingdom for Christ. He had a generous heart and he displayed the character of Christ (that man also knew how to swing a hammer!) While it hurts to say goodbye to Glen, it is a blessing to know for sure where he is spending his eternity.
I’ve got a favor to ask of you; would you pray for Glen’s wife Brenda and their family. Pray for me as I conduct his funeral on Wednesday (one of Glen’s requests was that I share the Gospel at his funeral). I also have a challenge for you; would you prayerfully consider going on a short –term mission trip? We will be taking off for Louisiana in July and I would love for you to be a part or our team that goes. The experience that you have will make an impact not only on those in Louisiana, but on you, and the others on the team.
