Tomorrow morning (Tuesday November, 20th) at 8:00 a.m. James and I will be on the Joy FM 88.9 radio station to talk about the church. At least I think James is coming with me - I've got to make sure Tonya can get him out of bed and out the door by 7:00 a.m.
I always get a little self-conscious when I do media things like this. In the back of my mind as I'm speaking I'm always thinking, "I hope I don't embarrass myself and sound like a complete moron." So while I'm concentrating on not being an idiot, I end up sounding like an idiot because I'm not thinking about what I'm supposed to be saying. So, now you know what I'll be thinking in the back of my mind as I'm speaking tomorrow. ;-)
I'm looking forward to talking about all the great things happening here at FFC. If you don't live in the area you can listen online at JOY FM's website.
Make sure you tell Sherry hi for me when your in the studio. David's pretty cool so you'll have fun, I'll be listening. Remember I have a key so we will have to sneak over there some night and take over. ;}
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job at the interview. If you were nervous or anything you couldn't tell by listening. Did Shelby get excited hearing her name mentioned on the radio?

I didn't get a chance to meet Sherry - I met Dan and David; both real great guys. I'm looking forward to going back in next Tuesday morning -- I'm hoping I can get some of the other pastors in there with me.
Do you think they would give you the audio from the interviews? If so we need to post it on our web site.
