Today is my "spiritual day off" and once again I find myself spending it at Panera. I and about a dozen others have had their laptops out surfing the net and working on documents.
I'm putting together some thoughts for a sermon that I will be doing the last weekend of this year called "State of the Church". This message will be a recap of the last year, explaining what's happening in the church currently, and informing about what to expect in the future. I love this kind of message because it gets everybody up to speed and offers me an opportunity to cast some vision.
I'd better get back to work.
