I want to thank those that prayed for today's service at
FFC. A
few days ago I asked some of you to pray that people's hearts would be receptive to today's message on greed. I can't say that everyone was pleased to come face to face with the greed that so easily lurks in our hearts, but I've had numerous people share with me how thankful they were that I addressed this issue. In fact I would say I had a larger number of people than usual come up to me after the service and thank me... that completely shocked me. I've even had a teenager post on my Facebook a complement about the message today - which blesses my heart so much.
I heard some great stories of how God has been working over the last several months on people's hearts regarding giving. (By the way: generosity breaks the power of greed in our hearts.) I had others share with me that they plan on implementing strategic generosity in lives now; they were already strategizing about how they might bless others. I LOVE IT. I love it because I know as soon as people start the habit of giving they will be so blessed and the Kingdom of God will be better off!
