Pre Preaching Ponderings

This Sunday we will be revisiting our series “GLORY”. The challenge for so many people is understanding that God is preoccupied with His glory and that our purpose is to be a reflection of that glory. We are on the earth for one purpose; we are on this planet for one thing alone. We are on this planet to glorify God.

Too often we think, or even behave, like this world was made to revolve around us. Sometimes we challenge God and rival Him for who is going to sit on the throne of our lives. We believe that God should bend to our will and make us happy; and when things don’t go the way we want them to, we have the audacity to get upset at God.

In our lives God begins to work and He calls out to us and says, “I want you to look at the good and the bad through a new lens, I want you to begin to contemplate the bigger picture. I’m not concerned about your glory, I’m working on the eternal fame of My name.”

It’s not about your glory, it’s about His glory.

Romans 11:36, “For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever!”
