Spiritual Day Off part tress

I think I'm going to put aside the other sermon I was working on for a little bit and begin to pray about a series I'm thinking about doing in May. Please feel free to jump in on the conversation - I welcome any thoughts or creative ideas you have.

Here's the thrust of what I'd like to share with the congregation: I want us to get the full sense of adventure that Christ calls us to when He invited us to take the Gospel into the whole world. I want us to embrace the challenge and excitement that is missions (global & local - glocal). There is a certain abandonment and fearlessness that accompanies answering the call to go into the world with this Good News. I'm calling the series "Gunslingers" - it will have a wild west theme and will be a call to fearlessly advance the Kingdom.

I have scripture verses and accounts from the Bible in mind - but I'm curious what comes to your mind? What scripture verses, accounts of fearlessness, examples of modern day "gunslingers" do you think of?
