Today I'm taking a "personal day off". Tammy is having a ladies Bible study at the house this morning so I decided to go to St. Arbucks and work on sermons. So here I sit with my Mint Mocha Frap., sponging some free wifi, working on a future sermon. I know I should probably be doing something else on a "day off" but for me relaxing with some coffee and working on sermons in a different environment is actually fun. How many people get to do their jobs in different, and sometimes, creative environments? How many people actually love their jobs enough to want to do it on a "day off"? I'm blessed to be able to be doing exactly what God has wired me to do.
On an unrelated topic: on they way out of the driveway I snapped this picture...

If you look closely you will see stakes. Those stakes are marking the edge of the new paved road that is going to run in front of our house. We are finally going to get a paved street! I never thought I'd see the day. We are inside the city limits of "P-Town" but we have had a gravel road in front of our house. Being the only tax payers on this street I figured they would wait until the entire street had homes before they would pave it. Soon I will be able to drive down the road to my street without swerving to miss huge holes!
moving up in the world aren't you! High falluttin now that's what u be!
ReplyDeleteYAY! Pavement!
ReplyDelete"'Tis a black river!"
