Last Sunday the title of the message was, "Why didn't God answer my prayer?". I concluded the message by asking, "If God would answer one prayer, any prayer that you prayed, what would it be? In other words, what's the biggie in your life?"
Anyone want to reveal their big prayer? I'm sure there would be a number of us that would be happy to pray with you for it.
My biggest prayer is to be the man God has created me to be. I fall so short of this. I wish God would just change me instantly, making me pure hearted and pure minded, but that would not require a lot dedication on my part, so I know I just need to continue praying, continuing learning, and continue relying on God for strength. It just becomes so frustrating sometimes to try hard but not feel like a different person, and it feels so next to impossible to be pure when exposed to so much impurity each day, which leads me back to needing to pray for strength . . .
ReplyDeleteUmmmm. My big prayer would have to be completely yeilding to the holy spirit and recieving my gift of tongues fluently.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I liked nates' answer too.
My biggest prayer is for the ones that I intercede on a regular basis could live in the full understanding of Who God is: a God who delivers, sets free and restores.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest prayer is for my family to come to Christ. This has been my prayer for a long time. It is so hard to see the ones you love the most, so far away from Christ!
ReplyDeleteVicki said-Right at this moment my biggest prayer is for health. I always pray to be what God wants me to be and will continue to do so but health concerns seem to get in my way of serving as I want to.I must admit tho that health worries do bring me even closer to God and I rely on Him more so I guess there is a positive to all things. Thank you Jesus!!
ReplyDeleteObedience, boldness, and fearless faith.
ReplyDeleteMy marriage. I don't know how much longer I can (or want) to fight what seems to be a losing battle. I am praying for guidance and strength.
ReplyDeleteI want to let each of you know that I prayed for your requests as they came in. I'm sure that there are others out there praying with you as well. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteKeep the prayer requests coming and we will keep praying.
My biggest prayer is for strength; to keep fighting the battle. I also pray that God will show me how to trust Him so that I will know things will be ok if I rest awhile.

ReplyDeleteThat Casey's eyes would heal. She'll likely have to have surgery every couple years otherwise. I would love for her to be able to see well.
ReplyDeleteAt this moment my biggie is for a family friend. She is an elementary school principal and single mom to two young children. She has been diagnoised with an inoperable brain tumor. She will begin radiation treatment after thanksgiving. She has no family members who live close by and no church family that I'm aware of.
ReplyDeleteThat my kids grow up as God lovers.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for the spiritual gift of prophecy.
ReplyDeleteI pray for my daughters neither who are following Christ although they once accepted the gift of salvation. I worry so much about their future and the future of their families.
