Jack and I wanted to tell you that the people in the front of the line may not have been responsible for this. We were at a concert in Cincinnati in 1979. The doors to Riverfront Coliseum were locked and they did not have assigned seating but general seating so first come first serve. We stood near the doors and the crowd behind us began pushing forward. We were being crushed and had no escape. Finally the doors opened and we were shoved through safely. A few weeks later the same thing happened at a Who concert at Riverfront and a stampede occured killing eleven people. Jack and I know how easily that happened. We were crushed unable to escape, if you fell down that was it. I remember how the people in the back kept pushing, it was like a wave of heavy pressure over and over. When you pushed back they came back even stronger. It was insane.
I just wonder how much the heart of God was grieved today. I'm not Him and I don't understand how possesions could be this important.
ReplyDeleteGod bless their families.
ReplyDeleteBlack Friday seems to be a fitting name for a day people lose heart for other human beings in place of sales prices. Disgusting.
