TXT

Last Sunday we began a new series called, "TXT". We are discussing the most important text, the Bible. During this three week series we are interacting via our cell phones. We have partnered with www.jarbyco.com and are asking survey questions of the congregation and having folks send in questions about the Bible to me during the message.

My goal with this series is to simply raise the level of interaction that we as a church have with God's Word. Unfortunately, many people neglect God's word. As a culture we spend a lot of time with our cell phones texting, in fact, as of June 2008 we send over 75 billion text messages every month. That is a lot of time spent texting and reading texts. What if people spent as much time with the Bible as they do with their cell phones?

"I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word." Psalm 119:11

  1. Not that I'm good with the balance of phone to Bible time, but a big reason I got a Bible app on my phone was this very thought.

And I do spend a lot more time in the Word because of it.

  2. David,

Are you using Youversion or a different Bible app for your phone?
