This evening I'm at the church finishing up some last minute details on the sermon for tomorrow morning. I'm praying that tomorrow will bring all that we've talked about in our GLORY series to memorable conclusion. I always remember sermons better when there is a tangible illustration and I think tomorrow will definitely provide that for all of us.
I want to share with you some final thoughts on God's glory:
Understanding that all of the good things and all of the bad things that happen in my life are for God's glory and not my glory is crucial in making sense of life.
When my glory comes into conflict with God's glory I'd better step out of the way or I'll be miserable.
When I properly understand the impact of the cross I can begin to appreciate why my glory must fade into God's glory.
When bad things happen in my life I discover rather quickly for whose glory I am really living.
