Life sure has a way of taking us for a spin. Christmas Eve we learned of the murder of a young mother (Marva Rhea age 26) in our church family and on New Year's Day our family is sad to learn of another death.
Tammy and I got word this morning that her Step-father, Don Janssen, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Don was Tammy's step-father for over 20 years. Last year Don was diagnosed with dementia and the past month had been pretty rough for him. We will both miss Don very much. Please keep Tammy's mother, Linda, in your prayers.
I will be preaching at the funeral on Friday, but I'll be back to preach the Sunday morning service.
