Catching Up

I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday evening; I had the wonderful privilege of bowling with our youth group and didn't get back until 1:00 a.m. - late for an old man like me. We had over 40 teens and leaders go last night. Pastor Pink is really doing a good job connecting with our students in this community.

Don't tell anyone, but I bowled a 51 (that's not a typo - 51) in my first 10 frames last night. I don't think I've ever bowled that low before. I wasn't even screwing around, I was actually trying. When I started being goofy and doing crazy approaches and adding a lot of spin to the ball is when I started getting strikes... I stink at bowling.

Early this morning we gathered for our "Second Saturday Serve". The ladies went to downtown Farmland to wrap gifts, while the men went around the neighborhoods shoveling snow. I love "Second Saturday Serve", it feels good to be generous with my time and resources. I really appreciate the time that Pastor Jeff puts into getting our service projects put together. (If you know of any needs that we can minister to in our community please let Pastor Jeff know.)

I'm praying that the rain we get tonight and tomorrow does not turn to ice. I so badly want lots of people at church - not for my ego - but so they can hear what God has to say to us regarding anger. This weekend is the last message in our "The Monsters Within" series and you don't want to miss it.

Winter weather drives me nuts this time of year. I never want to miss church so I'm always praying that any bad weather comes on Monday through Friday. If FFC is your church home, Lord willing, I'll see you tomorrow morning.

  1. You can thank miss Abby for the snow... (she prays every day for more and more!) but, the ice... we join you in praying... not a far walk to my online service... BUT... we need YOU there to preach. =) I'll be waiting in my warm flannel jammies to watch! =)

  2. Mindy,

That's a great idea. We could make sure that everyone in the church had broadband internet and then if I and the media team could make it to church we could just broadcast into each home. Offering could be "pay pal" I suppose ;-)

Can you see us rolling in on our snowmobiles? ...

Thanks Abby for all the snow.

  3. Ok, now that'd be great! By the way, awesome sermon today! Loved it! Summer time comes around, I'm going to be in shock getting dressed and coming to sit in on a service! =) Thanks for always following your heart and allowing God to use you to minister to so many!
