Don't Mess With Your IPod

I started having problems with my iPod yesterday - my click wheel started acting very sporadic. It wouldn't work at all unless I was plugged into my computer via the USB cable. I did everything I could to fix it, resets, downloads, uploads, sideloads, prayer, anointing oil (just kidding about the oil), nothing worked. So this afternoon I thought to myself, "Hey why not crack it open and unplug the battery or jostle with the click wheel internally a little bit? What could it hurt?" So that's what I did.

This is the inside of an iPod...

Looking good... all was going well... until...

This itsy bitsy teeny tiny little part snapped off of where the battery plugs in... OOPS.

Anyone want to buy an 80 GB iPod?

  1. Ouch! Did you have insurance on it?

  2. No insurance and my warranty is long gone. Now it becomes target practice - or future experimentation.

  3. I'm pretty sure they put spare parts in the 80 gig ipods. While this might be the case - my professional audio opinion is that you broke it. lol
(you know how they say, "I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you"? Well, I'm laughing at you. Love ya Kris!
