Just Wondering

Have you noticed the political adds where the candidate says "I'm 'so and so' and I approve this message". I get it when they say that and they are not the ones speaking on the commercial - but do they really have to say that when they were the ones speaking the whole time? Wouldn't they approve of what they just said? I know it must be some kind of law/rule; but come on. Just wondering if you had noticed this? ...

I'm Kris Sorensen and I approve this post.

  1. I thought the same thing, doesn't make any sense. I used to like listening to 700 WLW on the day after the election when they would play the political ads and blow them up. Now I approve those messages.

  2. Hi. I'm John McCain, and I approve this message. (after all, I am the one who passed the legislation making this statement of approval necessary)
