One thing that this blog allows me to do is let people in on my life. I like that on one level because it lets people know just how normal (or abnormal in my case) a pastor can be. Sometimes it is difficult to let you know about me and I struggle, but I thought tonight I would let you in on a current struggle. If you read this post, you will recall that I received good news from the doctors office regarding some tests that I took a couple of weeks ago. Here's the latest: the doctors office called back yesterday and said they found something in one of my tests and they want me to come back in and retest. I don't think it's what they are suggesting I have - at least I'm praying super super super hard it's not what they suggested over the phone. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about I'll list my most recent Google searches...
symptoms of kidney stones
kidney stones pain
handling pain of kidney stones
what's more painful delivering a baby or passing a stone
Those that know me well know that I don't handle pain very well at all. So, just the thought of the possibility of kidney stones is making me sick. I will selfishly use my blog again to solicit your prayers. Please pray that we discover a less painful cause for my symptoms.
Many prayers!! I know those stones are horrible! I have met many who have shared experience... So I agree in prayer with you for something much less painful! :)
ReplyDeleteYou sure have our prayers and I do know from personal experience of God's healing powers. As a side thought-when we struggle with a "self" problem as we have been talking about lately-the letting go of self to 100% trust God--satan sometimes causes something in our life to make it harder to get our eyes off of self, pain is a good tool for him. So right now I rebuke satan to leave your body alone and give God the glory for the healing.
