This evening I did the unthinkable and preached on hell for the Easter message. The mood was pretty heavy in the sanctuary tonight. Hell is not the most exciting thing to talk about; I’d much rather have a conversation about furry little bunnies, Easter dresses, and lilies. But none of those things will prepare us for the inevitable reality of the afterlife.
While the atmosphere may have been thick, God was doing His work and touching people’s hearts. I’m excited to report that 5 individuals gave their life to Christ this evening! I’m so glad I took the step of faith and was obedient to preach about what God laid on my heart. Thank you so much for your prayers. As a result, there will be 5 more people celebrating in heaven for all eternity! I am excited to see what happens tomorrow at both of our Easter services; keep praying that the Risen One is glorified and people make a decision to follow hard after Him.
