Here’s what I love about blogging:
I get to reveal a bit more of myself to those who go to our church who may not otherwise know me very well.
I also get the opportunity to share thoughts about pastoring and leadership with other pastors or church leaders who may swing by this blog.
But my favorite thing about blogging is that I get to share my opinion. And it’s MY opinion; not just Pastor Kris’ opinion, but Kris’ opinion; my likes and my dislikes. I’m well aware that you will not agree with all of my opinions but quite frankly I’m not writing your opinion I’m writing mine.
I know my opinion is not shared by everyone, and that’s ok. I don’t agree with all of your opinions and I don’t like all the things you like; that’s what makes us individuals. But that never stops people from always wanting you to march to the beat of their drum.
In the past I would rarely share my opinion out of a fear that I might make someone in the church (or elsewhere) unhappy. As I get older, I’m getting over that. It seems like people are more than happy to share their likes, dislikes, and opinions with me, hoping that I (Pastor) will nod and agree with them. And to be honest, many times I’m polite and I don’t share my opinion and I just listen and move on. I’ve learned that some people don’t really care about my opinion they just want their opinion to be heard and I’m always willing to listen.
This blog is cathartic for me because what I share here are some of my personal thoughts. And, hopefully, while I share my thoughts and opinions, somewhere along the way this blog may be beneficial to others.

I feel that whatever your opinion is or what you say there is going to be someone who disagrees with it or even gets offended by what is said. What could be said as a joke or just a statement, someone takes offense to it and runs with it. Anyway if we were all the same and had the same likes and dislikes this would be such a boring place and besides that if you think the lines are long for the restroom at a ball game imagine what the lines would be like if we all liked the same things.
