It seems like we acquire baggage as we go through life. People will verbally put us down and we pick up emotional baggage those that we may consider friends betray our trust and we pick up some relational baggage, some people have spiritual baggage and have problems with the Church or with God Himself. Some people are hooked on something and don't think that they will ever break free from the baggage of addiction. In this broken and sinful world many of us pick up baggage along the journey and it gets difficult to do life according to God's principles.
Ultimately, the choice is ours. Either we continue to carry the baggage, or at some point we say, “God, You have got to take it all.”
For the next few weeks at church we are going to talk about the baggage that we have acquired and how to let it go. I'm looking forward to seeing people drop their baggage and walk in freedom.
