VBS

Tonight I spent a little time helping out with our Vacation Bible School at church (Take the Plunge). I was privileged to spend a couple of hours being a "crew leader" of a handful of students. I didn't impart any fantastic, earth shattering wisdom to these young ones tonight. But I did have a good time just being silly with them and showing them that a Christian adult can smile, fun, and enjoy themselves.

I've met my fair share of Christians who look like they have been baptized in lemon juice. They are so sour - no one would want the kind of faith they have. When I think about the people who have influenced me the most in my faith walk, it has been those individuals who have genuinely enjoyed life to the fullest. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (1 John 10:10) I want to live life to the full.

  1. I don't know nor have I ever been able to understand how a Christ follower could be so unhappy so often, but many are. I think that every morning when you get up out of bed you have a choice: a. I will be happy today and a joy to others. b. I will look for the negative in this world, dwell on it, complain about it and burden as many people around me as possible with these negative thoughts. Seems like an easy choice to me. clyde Jr.
