At the prompting of our new Children's and Youth Pastor's (James and Tonya Pinkerton) I've jumped into the waters of Facebook. I'm still learning the ropes but it looks like it will be an interesting way to keep up on some friends and their lives.
If you have a Facebook account send me an invitation to be your friend... I could really use more friends, because at the present moment I only have 4 friends... I'm kind of a loser ;-). If you haven't applied for a Facebook account yet; set one up - search for "Kris Sorensen" - and then click "add to friends".
Chris found that almost all his youth are on facebook and he has even created a group for our ministry where he can plan events and the kids can rsvp if they are coming! It has been just another tool to reach our kids!

ReplyDeleteI think the Church has a great opportunity to utilize technology for creativity and communication. Youth Pastors in particular need to stay on the "cutting edge" ;-)
