Tammy and I were watching about 10 minutes of the Miss Teen USA competition (don't ask me why - I don't know); but we were fortunate enough to catch the end where they were asking the final contestants their question. I think Tammy nearly wet herself laughing so hard at South Carolina's answer ...
Her teachers must be so proud of her ;-)
"...and I believe in building up our future so much that, with my own markers, in shades of blue, green, yellow, and red, I have colored 50 world maps to distribute to those who are unfortunate enough to not have the privelege of owning a map... like... such as... people who don't have maps. Thank you."
ReplyDeleteObviously South Carolina didn't get to finish, but this was the portion of her answer that was left out.
"...and P.S. I colored South Africa with a special sparkley stars, Asia with rainbow colors, and Iraq with purple and yellow to represent the help that is needed with, such as American helpers."

ReplyDeleteOk, now I'm under conviction because a few days ago, I just blogged on Compassion and not mocking different people... so I have to confess, Jeff made me do it!
ReplyDelete*sigh*... ok... I'm feeling a little bad... to S.C.'s defense, it would be easy to slip up with the cameras and lights and pressure...
ReplyDeleteAwww come on Bryan - you fold way too easy... such as... chicken out.
