God wants to reveal Himself to you. He seeks you by the power of His Spirit and the moment you step toward Him - whatever way you do and you seek Him… He will reveal Himself to you. He wants to be found.
I remember reading "God Chasers" by Tommy Tenney in which he tells about how when he and his little girl play hide and seek he would always leave his foot sticking out just enough so that she could find him. That’s what God is like He will pull back just enough so that you must seek Him, but when you seek He promises that you can find Him.
He wants you to seek Him and when you do He will reveal the depths of His heart, His character, His glory, and His nature in ways you couldn't even imagine. Even if you have walked with Him and have known Him for 60 years you have yet to experience the depth of His majesty and glory.
Jeremiah 29:13,14, “you will seek me and you will find me when you seek me with all of your heart. I will be found by you declares the Lord.”
This is a powerful statement. I know that God's heart is that we would all seek with all of our heart. My favorite vs. "He rejoices over you with singing." Look for him and then rest in his lap!
