An Interview With: Tonya Pinkerton

Tonya is our Children's Pastor and doing a fantastic job. Tammy and I have known Tonya and her husband James since Bible College. It's so great having friends that we've known for a long time join us on staff. Here is my interview with Tonya:

Me: How long have you worked at FFC now?
Tonya: About 2 1/2 months

Me: Where/how did you and James meet?
Tonya: The very first time we met was when the Barclay Choir came to my church in Plains, Kansas. I was a senior in High School and had already decided to go to Barclay. I remember how good they sounded and that there were a lot of cute, dark headed guys in the choir! We officially met the next year at Barclay College and became interested in each other on a choir road trip after I had broken up with my first college boyfriend. The rest is history!

Me: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Tonya: Hanging out with my family, scrapbooking, decorating my house, cooking, watching t.v.

Me: What states have you lived in?
Tonya: Oh my gosh, there's so many! Washington, Oregon, Oklahoma, Kansas, California, Missouri, and now Indiana!

Me: What do you enjoy most about your position as Children’s Pastor?
Tonya: Getting to know the kids and seeing a relationship built.

Me: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Tonya: Tuscany, Italy

Me: Could you ask James to make me some chicken tacos again?
Tonya: Why, are you afraid to ask him? Just kidding, of course I can!
