Today I was wiped out after church. I took a nap at 2:15 p.m. and didn't wake up until 5:00 p.m., I could have kept sleeping but knew I had to get up.
I've had a larger than usual number of people thank me for preaching on adultery. I always feel awkward being thanked for something that is so clearly spoken of in the Bible - but I appreciate the encouragement none the less.
My counseling load is beginning to rise quickly. It seem that by preaching on marriage/adultery I've stoked a fire - I just wish I were a better counselor. I'll listen and encourage as best I can and refer those that I can't help to a professional counselor.
I'm looking forward to spending a little extra time with the other pastors at FFC on Tuesday afternoon. We will spend some time dreaming about the future and catching up with each other.
We brought our "First Fruits" offering today to the church for our Building to Bless...Another Generation campaign. We are well on our way to getting the ball rolling on breaking ground and making the vision a reality.
