Remember When

Every now and then I do a bit of reflecting on the past. There may be some of you reading the blog that may have been a part of the church waaaaay back when we were on the dead end road on Henry Street six years ago and you can remember some of these moments. For those of you who weren't there you'll just have to use your imagination.

Remember my first Sunday and during the "open worship" (testimony time) we had a lady who shared for a verrrry loooong time and then she started sharing some things that probably shouldn't have been shared in a large group. Awwwkward - I finally had to stop her and tell her that I and several women would council her after the service. I thought, "What in the world have I gotten myself into here?"

Remember cramming so many people into the old annex for chicken noodle dinners that you could barely get around the room? With that many bodies in that space we were sweating in the middle of winter... the kitchen was the hottest!

Remember blowing the fuses every other month during the chicken noodle dinners because we had so many roasters plugged in?

Remember the green and orange shag carpet in the sanctuary? I still have a small piece of it in my desk at church.

Any other memories you would like to share?...
