I didn't get a chance to blog last night - Comcast decided it needed a break from providing internet service !?!?
So today this blog is coming to you via Panera in Muncie. Today is my spiritual day off and I'm spending the morning/afternoon praying and preparing for the next several months of messages for our church. Preparing in advance is far from unspiritual; I can't begin to tell you the number of times God has used a message/theme that I prepared months in advance to specifically touch an individual or group of people. It is so awesome the way the Holy Spirit is not only spontaneous but prepared for the future!
I love these days. For some reason when I get away my creativity seems to spike and I can just spend time trying to discern from God where it is he wants us to go. Looking ahead I can't wait to share what God has placed on my heart - this will be an exciting season for us as a church. I'm just crazy enough to believe that God can use us to make an impact in this world for Him!!
In just a moment Shelby and Tammy will be joining me for lunch and then I will go right back to it... here they are now.
